Dating violence is physical, sexual, emotional, or verbal
mistreatment for the purpose of gaining control and power
over another person. According to the ND Youth Risk
Behavior Survey, 11% of student’s grades 9-12 reported
violence in a dating relationship. |

identifying Violent and
Non-Violent
relationships. |

safety, a parent, trusted adult, school counselor or other
teacher may be available to listen and help. |
