What
is the Student Violence Prevention Project? |
| The
Student Violence Prevention Project is a statewide effort of
the ND Council on Abused Women’s Services/Coalition Against
Sexual Assault designed to address violence which includes
,domestic, dating and sexual violence, in our schools through
community mobilization, education, and policy changes .

Goals: |
 |
To work to
affect public policy as it relates to violence in our
schools. |
 |
To work toward
improving a coordinated systems response to violence in
our schools. |
 |
To provide
basic skills training as well as opportunities for youth
to develop a nonviolent school environment. |
 |
To coordinate
efforts and network with relevant school officials and
other groups working on similar objectives. |
 |
To increase
the public and student awareness of the existence of
domestic, dating and sexual violence in the lives of
students. |
 |
To work toward
the prevention of sexual harassment, dating violence and
sexual abuse through curriculum development and
educational programming. |

To provide
resources and training to other professionals working with
children |
