Goal: To strengthen the
relationships and partnerships among professionals and the
public to facilitate a community based response to victims
and perpetrators of violence. |

Increase collaboration among
service providers |

Goal: To explore the
opportunities for research, development, and
implementation of the program and service needs directly
impacting the following populations in ND: immigrants,
Native Americans, elderly, children, people with
disabilities, offenders, lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and
transgender (LGBT), and male victims. |

Education/Prevention/Training

3) |
Increase the awareness of
domestic violence and sexual assault issues among adults
through education, prevention, and training. |

Goal: To provide
training, educational resources, and referral information
to adults in the following groups: teachers, educators and
day care providers, helping professionals, parents, and
adult service groups. |

Increase the awareness of
domestic violence and sexual assault issues among children
through education, prevention and training. |

Goal: To provide
educational resources and prevention based activities
regarding domestic and sexual violence to the following
groups of children: Kindergarden-6th grade, 7th-12th
grade, and college. |

Data Collection/Funding

5) |
Create, publish, and
disseminate a yearly profile of intimate partner violence
by establishing a statewide multidisciplinary,
comprehensive data collection infrastructure. |

Goal: To conduct an in-depth analysis of statewide
multi-disciplinary data sets that will assist in
understanding the ideology of violence in ND, which will
allow for more credible, holistic planning efforts in the
future. |

Research and develop alternative approaches and sources of
funding or resources to address violence against women.

Goal: To sustain current efforts and enhance
violence prevention and intervention services in the
future, it is necessary to identify and access alternative
funding sources. |
