protocol and training opportunities as a collaborative
effort among crisis intervention centers and aging services
to provide comprehensive services and education to
professionals encountering elder abuse.
Mechanism for Implementation:
Increase communication through periodic meetings among
agencies listed that are dedicated to serving diverse
populations.
Agency Responsible:
ND Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services,
CAWS/CASAND, and Regional Human Service Centers
2. Provide
opportunities for elder/aging service professionals to take
part in task forces on victims’ issues statewide.
Mechanism for Implementation:
Task forces developed and sustained at local level.
Agency Responsible:
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault programs, Adult
Protective Services/Aging Services Providers at Regional
Human Service Centers
3. Collaborate
with elder programs to develop educational materials for the
public and professionals regarding elder abuse.
